You use the present continuous to talk about things going on (around) now - things that started in the past and are still going on

  • Tag questions come at the end of a sentence
  • We use question tags to check something 
  • Your name is John, isn't it?
  • Your name isn't John, is it?

  • The movie is great, ........?
  • The movie = it
  • Verb (to be, can, have, do, will, should)? Yes - to be (is)
  • The movie is great, isn't it?



If the sentence is positive, the question tag is negative
If the sentence is negative, the question tag is positive

We use one or ones if we do not want to repeat the already mentioned noun (het al genoemde zelfstandig naamwoord). One(s) replaces  the noun. 

One -> refers to the SINGULAR noun (enkelvoud)
Ones -> refers to the PLURAL noun (meervoud)

I don't want the green apples. I want the red apples.
