- some is voor bevestigende (+) zinnen

- any is voor ontkennende (-) en vragende (?) zinnen

Uitzonderingen zijn:

- Je gebruikt some in een vragende zin waarbij je JA als antwoord verwacht.

- Je gebruikt some in een vragende zin waarbij je iemand iets aanbiedt.

- Je gebruikt any in een zin die niet ontkennend of vragend is als iets niet uitmaakt.
