Doel: Ik kan bezit aangeven met de double genitive 

1) Hh bezit aangeven in het Engels met 's/' (= genitive) 

2) Uitleg en oefenen double genitive

Vertaal in het Engels:
1) Het huis van John
2) De hond van de kinderen

GENITIVE = bezit = 's

* add 's if the word does not end in an s

* add ' if the word ends in an s

* if the word is a name which ends in an s both is possible

DOUBLE GENITIVE

John's friend = A friend of John's

                      = A friend of his

My sisters' friends = Friends of my sisters'

                             = Friends of theirs 

RULE

We form the 'double genitive' with

noun + of + possessive pronoun mine/yours/his/hers/ours/yours/theirs

Zelfstandig nw + of + mine/yours/his/hers/ours/yours/theirs

A friend of his

OR 

zelfst nw + of + my/your/his/her/our/your/their + zelfst nw + possessive 's

A friend of my brother's
