What's the plan?

Goal

Hoe maak je de passive ook alweer? 

The combination of 'to be' + past participle (volt. dlw) makes a sentence passive

The dog bit the woman

The woman is bitten (by the dog).

The doctor stitched the wound.

The wound was stitched (by the doctor).

Voorbeeld:

De docent slaat de leerling.
(The teacher hit the student.)

De leerling is geslagen. 
The student was hit. (by the teacher) 

Bij active: gaat het om(focus) het onderwerp

Bij passive: gaat het om (focus) de actie.

Present Simple	I clean the kitchen	The kitchen is cleaned . (by me)
Past Simple	He ate the sandwich.	The sandwich is eaten. (by him)
Present Continuous	She is solving the puzzle.	The puzzle is being solved. (by her)
Past continuous	You were playing the piano.	The piano was being played. (by you).
Present perfect	We have done all the chores.	All the chores have been done. (by us)
Past perfect	They had witnessed the crime.	The crime had been witnessed. (by them)
