Dit ging over de Industrial Revolution, oftewel: de Industriële Revolutie.

Omdat er een grote verandering kwam op het gebied van machines die op stoom werkten en massaproductie, kon er een stuk efficiënter gehandeld worden. Hierdoor werd de UK ineens een hele machtige natie en werd er veel met hen gehandeld, waardoor de hele wereld profijt had van hun technieken!

The houses

House of Lords: net als de 2e kamer in Nederland. Beslist mee over wetten. Leden worden niet gekozen door de mensen. Zij erven de ''Lord'' status of zijn door de Queen gekozen.

House of Commons: Mensen die gekozen zijn om het volk van hun stukje land te vertegenwoordigen. Bepaalt over bijv. nieuwe wetten rondom belastingen.
