R sound in English
Compared to Dutch, the R sound is pronounced less in the throat, and more in the mouth.
Also the mouth is less open.

 Practise keeping the lips nearly closed while saying: red rain rose run rim
Your aim is to hardly hear the R sound.

Look at the pictures: which depicts the Dutch R
and which depicts the English R? How does this 
compare to a Russian R?

The R at the end of a word is usually NOT pronounced as an R, but sounds more like a short "eh" sound

better - bett-eh 
clearer - clear-eh
actor - act-eh
after - aft-eh

4 ways to write the Future tense:
1) present simple -> The bus leaves at 6.

2) present continuous -> I'm leaving for Paris tomorrow.

3) to be going to -> She's going to move to Paris next summer.

4) will/shall -> I will live in Paris one day.

What is the present simple?

Use the present simple when talking about things that are scheduled for the future.

"shit rule"
he / she / it: add an s to the verb
timetables
written in a diary
recurring events (eg always starting work at 8am)

The event is going to take place:
-Timetable / schedule: Present simple
-Planned with another person: present continuous
The event might / might not take place:
-Absolutely no evidence: Will shall +infinitive 
-There is some evidence: to be going to + infinitive
The studio opens at 8am

General rule:
Place the first verb at the start of the sentence
Exception: in the case of the present simple: use do / does at the start of the sentence

A general note: negatives in the future
Turn the following sentences into negative sentences:
  • The plane departs at 10.30pm
  • They are taking the plane to Madrid tomorrow afternoon
  • It will snow in August
  • I will phone John in the morning

General rule:
Add NOT after the first verb 
Exception (present simple):
add DOES NOT before the verb
