To be going to + hele werkwoord gebruik je om over de toekomst te praten, vooral als:

Je een plan hebt gemaakt:

We're going to buy a lottery ticket. (We hebben al besloten om dit te doen.)

Je voorspellingen doet gebaseerd op bewijs nu:

Look at the clouds! It’s going to rain. (Het bewijs is duidelijk: de wolken.)
