How to make the plurals 
  1. Add an -s to the word.  
  2. Does the word end in a sis sound or a consonant + o?  (except piano, photo, solo..) --> Add -es to the word. 
  3. Does the word end in consonant + y? change to -ies. 
  4. Does the word end in -f or -fe? Change to -ves. 
  5. Irregular: chef --> chefs
  6. Stay the same. 
  • one hero --> two heroes, one volcano --> two volcanoes.
