We are going to act something out.

First conditional

We use this structure to talk about things that may happen in the future.

It talks about things in the future that will happen if a condition is met.

Form

If + present simple + , + will/won't

If it doesn't rain tomorrow, we'll go to the beach.

or

 Will/won't + if + present simple

Arsenal will be top of the league if they win.

Condition

If it rains,

If I study today,

If I have enough money,

She'll be late

She'll miss the bus

If I see her,

Result

I won't go to the park.

I'll go to the party tonight.

I'll buy some new shoes.

if the train is delayed.

if she doesn't leave soon.

I'll tell her.

Unless?

What does unless mean?

Unless means the opposite of if

Unless

Discuss with the person sitting next to you, how you would use unless in the following sentence

You will be sick if you don't stop eating.

You'll be sick unless you stop eating.
