1. may / might + hele werkwoord om toestemming te vragen of zeggen dat iets niet is toegestaan. 'may' is mogen en 'might' is zou mogen.
2. may / might + hele werkwoord kunnen ook gebruikt worden om te zeggen dat iets mogelijk gaat gebeuren. Hierbij is might minder waarschijnlijk of hypotetisch.

to be allowed to + hele werkwoord = alle tijden mogelijk
Je vervoegt "to be" in de desbetreffende tijd.
