• 3rd conditional = impossible, 0%

2nd conditional is used for

1. Improbable future situations
2. Possible and likely to happen situations
3. Facts and truths
4. Hypothetical past situations

The 3rd conditional is used for things which did NOT happen in the past

if + past simple + would/could/might - for hypothetical situations in the present or future, suggestions and advice

if + past perfect + would have + past participle - for hypothetical situations in the past or regrets about the past
