Q: Wat betekenen some & any?

1. Some betekent 'een paar' en any 'enkele'
2. Some betekent 'enkele' en any betekent 'een paar'
3. Some & any betekenen beide wat/een paar /enkele
4. Alleen some betekent 'wat'

SOME gebruik je in een 

positieve (+) zin -> I have some candy for you. 

verzoek (request) -> Can I have some candy? 

aanbod (offer) -> Would you like some candy?

ANY gebruik je in een 

negatieve (-) zin -> There isn't any candy left...

vraag zin (?) -> Is there any candy left?

HUH? Maar het is toch 'Can I have some candy, please?' 

HOE ZIT DAT?

Niet any, maar some: 

Bij vragen waarbij het waarschijnlijk is dat het antwoord 'ja' is, gebruik je some in plaats van any. Ook gebruik je some in vragen als je iemand iets aanbiedt:

Could I have some bread, please? (Kan ik wat brood krijgen?)

Would you like some tea? (Wil je (wat) thee?)
