Future simple = Toekomende Tijd

De meest gebruikelijke manieren om de Toekomende Tijd te maken in Engels zijn:

• shall of will
  
• met going to + een werkwoord

Future: 'will / won't'

Question: What will you do tomorrow?

Answer: I will .....

Question: Will it rain tomorrow? Or will it be sunny?

Answer: It will .......

Spot the difference...

Can you by milk? I will go to the store tomorrow.

I am going to the store tomorrow.

I shall be reading the whole afternoon

I am working at the store tomorrow.

Future = 'going to'

going to + hele werkwoord

Je gebruikt to be going to + hele werkwoord als:

- iemand een voorspelling doet en er bewijs is.

- iemand iets van plan is / een beslissing maakt en dat al vaststaat / eerder is afgesproken.

- zekerhied

Future = 'will / won't'

Je gebruikt will + hele werkwoord als:

• iemand een voorspelling doet zonder dat er bewijs is.
• iemand een beslissing maakt en dat op dat moment aangeeft.
• Je denkt maar je bent niet zeker.

LET OP: Je kan ook het combinatie will + be gebruiken voor vaste plannen.
