meaning in Dutch: 

• een paar, een beetje, wat, enkele

But when do we use some when do you use any?

SOME • when to use it? 

1. In positive sentences.

   We bought some flowers

2. In questions when we expect the answer to

be "yes"!

   Can I have some water, please?

3. When we propose something.

   Would you like some tea?

   

    

 

ANY • when to use it?

1. In negative sentences.

2. In questions when we don't know what the

answer will be.

     Do you have any luggage?

             

We didn't buy any flowers.

They arrived without any delay.
