What's in the news today? 

Goal: I can use like, as, one and ones, in a sentence and write a simple review of a film, book or TV programme.

Like 

You use 'like' to make a comparison with people, animals and things. 

Often used after the verbs: look, sound, smell, taste and feel

As

You use 'as' with a noun to talk about someone's role or job. 

as....as is used to compare two things.

One and ones

One and ones

You use 'one' to refer to something or someone that you have mentioned before. 

'Do you like this game or that one with the cool effects? 

I like funny films and serious ones.

You use one and ones to replace a noun after which, this, that, these and those.
