THE METRIC SYSTEM(about 50 minutes' lesson)

In this lesson you are going to:

1. Watch 2 MOVIES:

a. the 1st explains the reasons for using standard measurements

b. the 2nd movie explains how the DECIMAL SYSTEM (=tientallig stelsel) for LENGTH and WEIGHT works 

2. You are going to PRACTICE this yourself, with some Exercises from your Mathbook, 1B

3.After having checked your work, you will know how good you are with this now.

NOW:    PRACTICE!

To put into practice what you just learnt:

1. open your book Modern Mathematics 1B, Chapter 11 Area and volume

2. go to page 125     3.study the Theory

4.do the exercises R4 and R5   (16 questions in total)

5.check your answers with the Solutionsbook
