Met like maak je een vergelijking, het is dus NIET ECHT zo. 

• Casey eats like a horse.

Met as praat je over een beroep van iemand of de functie van iets. 

• She works as a secretary.  
  
• He makes his money as a taxi driver. 
  
• When I go fishing, I use worms as bait. 
  
• My neighbour works as a soldier in Afghanistan. 
  

The advertising agency hired me (like/as) billboard designer.

We have got so many animals, our house is (like/as) a zoo!
