Goal: You feel prepared for the reading test, and know which strategies to use to help you!

BEFORE READING

1. Vooraf: Wat is je leesdoel? 
2. Vooraf: Kijk naar titel, plaatje, tussenkopjes. Wat weet je al van het onderwerp? Voorspel waar het over kan gaan. 
3. Tijdens: Vat moeilijke stukken / zinnen samen in makkelijkere taal. 
4. Tijdens: Vervang woorden die je niet weet doo 'blabla'. Maakt het veel uit voor je begrip van de zin? Zo ja: kijk of je het woord kan afleiden uit context.
5. Tijdens/na afloop: Stel vragen. Wat heb je nou eigenlijk gelezen? Wat was het belangrijkste punt? etc.

Finally:

A good way to prepare for a reading exam is to read!! 

Ways to do that:

1. Read the news in English this week

2. Read text-posts on Reddit / Insta

3. Read a comic book / regular book in English

4. Read a book that you already know again, or a Dutch book in translation.
