We don't know a lot about the hunter gatherers. There are two reasons for this:
  1. Most of the things they used are gone, because of decay.
  2. They did not have writing system. We only have unwritten sources.

  • Around 100.00 BC the Ice Age ended.
  • Conditions in the Middle East were perfect for farming.
  • Growing your own food is called agriculture.
  • We call the birthplace of agriculture, the firtile cresent.

First villages.
  • Because people started to grow their own crops they stopped being nomads.
  • Villages of 100-200 people formed.
  • Some people went to make tools or weapons, because they had enough to eat.
  • We call this specialization.
  • Growing more food is called an agricultural surplus.
