Countable and Uncountable Nouns

• Countable nouns → have both a singular and a plural form.

1. one book → two books
2. one child → two children

• Uncountable nouns → have no plural form. 

1. water
2. electricity

Quantifiers

Words that expresses quantity of a noun.

• some→ in affirmative sentences and questions that the answer is most likely 'yes'.
• a lot of→ in affirmative sentences.
• (not) any → in negative sentences and in questions.

• Many→ Used for countable nouns
• Much→ Used for uncountable nouns
