In 7-8 years' time, you'll have finished studying.

The Future Continuous

Jim will not be coming with us tonight.

Gebruik 1

Om aan te geven dat je in de toekomst iets aan het doen bent

Next year I will be doing my final exams at this date. 

Daar ben je volgend jaar op dit moment dus actief mee bezig: je zit dan in de gymzaal de toetsen te maken.

Het is een present continuous in the future

I guess you will be feeling hungry after running 10 miles.

I expect he will be coming to the meeting tomorrow.

Om aan te geven dat iets waar je nu mee bezig bent nog een tijdje gaat duren. Hierbij gebruik je het woord still

Je bent nu al bezig en verwacht over een uur nogsteeds bezig te zijn.

The Future Perfect

Future Continuous

= future actions in progress at a specific time in the future

will + be + -ing

You'll be studying at uni.

I will be getting married.

We will be learning...

Future Perfect

= an action that will be completed before a specific time in the future

will + have + past participle

You'll have finished uni in...

We'll have planned...

I'll have gone to bed by then.

often with the time expression of 'by'

'by then', 'by next week', 'by the end of...' = no later than that time
