Bij was/were en alle hulpwerkwoorden plak je 'not' achter het werkwoord

Rule number two

Bij alle andere werkwoorden zet je didn't voor het hoofdwerkwoord. LET OP!! Wanneer je didn't voor het hoofdwerkwoord zet, moet het hoofdwerkwoord het HELE WERKWOORD worden.

I thought he was a nice guy

My mother drank tea all the time
