Slide 9 - Diapositive

Slide 10 - Diapositive
Today's Task
Writing task: Writing our own Journal-style story. Tell one of the stories told at the campfire. We will make a compilation of our stories in the last lesson.

Writing tips!
Journals are usually written from the 1st perspective. Which means you use primarily 'I' ( de ik-figuur).
Never, ever, write 'I \'with a small character ( i ). That's always wrong!

As I opened my eyes, and coughed out seawater, I found myself on a sandy beach. These surroundings were unfamiliar to me. A large compact jungle bordered the sandy beach. As I made my way through this jungle, a path lit up. Dandelions and lavender were planted on its sides. “These have to be man-made”, I said to myself as I walked on, following the mysterious path.
Slide 14 - Diapositive
The path led me out of the dense jungle to a river; and in the distance I could see a large, active volcano…
The dandelion/lavender path took me across a little bridge, across a moutain, and finally to a tiny village. There, I met a number of adventurers who had stranded there too.
Slide 15 - Diapositive
The adventurers gave me food and drink, and in the evening they set me down at a campfire. At the campfire they told me the most fascinating stories about the island…
Slide 16 - Diapositive
Never mix up tenses!
Example: I ate food in the camp where I am setting up my tent WRONG I ate food in the camp where I set up my tent CORRECT
