Go to a news site and look for topics you care about. 

Read at least two articles and create small summaries using bullet points --> most important parts.

Then, explain what it's is about and why it's important to you.

4.2 Grammar

You can talk about the future using will, be going to, the PC and the PS

Think about these questions:

1: Which four forms are important for you to know right now?

be going to

present continuous

present simple

prediction, assumption, spontaneous

something planned in your calendar

something planned, resolutions

be + going to + infinitive

be + verb+ing

will + infinitive

schedules

verb (+s)

Future forms - check/recap

Present Continuous - future arrangements; often with time, date, place 

--> I am going to a wedding on the 4th of May.

Present simple - schedules, timetables

--> The bus leaves at 10 am. / English class starts at 10 AM.

Be going to + infinitive - future intentions, plans = already decided to do smth & you tell people about it (think - NY's resolutions)

--> I am going to work out twice a week.

WILL - spontaneous decisions & predictions

--> I think I'll have a coffee. / It will snow tomorrow.

Write a sentence about the weather next Tuesday (image is zoom-able)

Tips and tricks 

• going to ALWAYS comes with another verb: going to fly,
  going to eat, going to meet...
• present continuous doesn't: going to a party, meeting my friend, seeing a film...
• will & going to - often no difference in spoken English

1:Get in groups of four

2: One person in the group DOWNLOADS the document and opens it offline Word doc otherwise you can't move the players

3: Choose your player & use this online dice

4: Use the FUTURE FORMS to talk for 30 seconds about the topic you land on. 

5: One person grabs their phone for a timer or opens this online stopwatch.

6: if you use the wrong future form or use more than two Dutch words you have to

  move back 2 spots! - everybody: listen carefully to your enemies ;)

7: Person closest to the finish line is the winner!
