Step 1) Choose your topic 
What would you find a fascinating topic to research and present? 
Who or what inspires or worries you? 

Look at the possible themes for your presentation mentioned above. Choose one of these themes and a topic related to that theme. 

Ask your teacher to approve your theme and idea.

Step 2a) Research and read/watch/ listen
CHOOSE YOUR RESOURCES WISELY! THEY ARE THE BASIS OF YOUR PRESENTATION
Find at least 5 reliable resources for your research on the topic. 
These can be articles, videos, books, documentaries, or podcasts.
Make a resource list with:
The titles
The url or internet source where you found it.
In a few sentences explain what information is useful from this source.

TASK: Glossary with collocations – phrases – keywords

Use your resources to make a list of 30 useful phrases and advanced keywords for your presentation.
The phrases should consist of:
Verb – noun combinations e.g ‘to safeguard privacy’ ‘dedicated to preserving their power’ ‘debunking myths’
Adjective – noun combinations e.g.” powerful psionic powers’
Verb – adverb combinations e.g. newly adopted behavioúrs,
Keywords: ‘procrastination’ ‘entrepreneurship’ ‘non-profit’

Step 3) Make an outline of your presentation. 

In Word make an outline with the structure of your talk. For each part of your presentation, write down what your main point for each part will be and how you will clarify or illustrate your point.

Step 6) Prepare the PowerPoint or Canva presentation. 

Make a PowerPoint presentation or Prezi to support your talk. Your presentation should be 6 - 8 minutes. Do not use full sentences on your slides. For tips look at http://www.garrreynolds.com/preso-tips/

Step 7) The exam: do the presentation 

The presentation will be 5 – 7 minutes and then there is time for questions. 
You are not allowed to read from notes.  
Practice your presentation and convince the audience of your knowledge, enthusiasm and ideas. Good luck!
