What you need: Expressions we have learnt.

Situatie: Je schrijft een e-mail aan je beste vriend in Australië: Mr. Kangaroo. Je hebt elkaar al een tijdje niet gesproken en je bent erg benieuwd naar hoe het met hem en zijn gezin gaat. Hij is ook jarig geweest en 13 geworden! Ook wil je vertellen over hoe het met jou en je familie gaat. Mr. Kangaroo is nieuwsgierig naar jouw beste vriend/vriendin.

1. Begin met een aanhef.
2. Feliciteer Mr. Kangaroo met zijn 13e verjaardag!
3. Vertel in twee aantal zinnen hoe het gaat met jou en je familie en waarom!
4. Vertel in twee zinnen waar je bent geweest.
5.  Vertel over twee activiteiten die je leuk vond en waarom.
6. Vertel iets over twee activiteiten die je niet leuk vond en waarom.
7. Vraag hoe het met Mr. Kangaroo gaat en met zijn gezin.
8. Vertel in twee  zinnen aan Mr. Kangaroo wie je beste vriend/vriendin is en over zijn/haar uiterlijk en innerlijk.
9. Sluit je brief netjes af!

Dear Mr. Kangaroo,

I hope you are doing well! First, happy 13th birthday! I hope you had a great celebration!

I’m doing well. My family is also fine. We are busy with school and work, but we are all healthy. 

My little brother is growing fast, and my parents are happy too.

How are you? How is your family? I would love to know what you’ve been doing.

You asked about my best friend. My best friend is Cora. She has reddish hair and blue eyes. 

She is very kind and always makes me laugh. We like to hang out together and have fun.

I hope to hear from you soon. Take care and say hello to your family for me!
