De bezigheidsvorm / de duurvorm

" Today we are learning Grammar."

'To be ' + verb +ing

Present Continuous

Je gebruik de duurvorm om te zeggen 

• dat iets nu aan de gang is  (of)
• dat iemand nu iets  aan het doen is

I am doing the dishes. 

• persoonvorm  = I
•  werkwoord 'to be' = am
• infinitive + ing = doing
• object = the dishes

Let op: Spelling

• soms verandert de spelling als je - ing toevoegt.

bij een werkwoord dat eindigt op -e, 

zoals bake, valt die -e weg

bake = baking

• bij werkwoorden van een lettergreep met een korte klinker zoals stop, sit, run en chat

wordt de medeklinker verdubbeld om de klank te behouden

> stopping , sitting, running, chatting

How	I am walk ing he/she/it is walk ing you/we/they are walk ing
Signal words	now , at the moment, look ..
Example	The pupils are listen ing to the teacher.
