Writing an article

What does your article need?

• An interesting title
• Paragraphs (at least 4)
• Lively, interesting, informal language
• Address the reader 

Structure

• Divide your text into paragraphs
• Discuss 1 topic per paragraph
• Use linking words to create connections
  

Structure of an article

1. Introduction (grab the reader's attention)
2. Body paragraph 1
3. Body paragraph 2
4. Conclusion 

Communication

• Use an informal style
• Address the reader ("Have you ever...?") in your text
  
• Use"descriptive language"
• Is your text entertaining and interesting?(low zzzzzzzz-factor)?

Language

• Watch your spelling/grammar/interpunction
• Don't use too many simple and basic words
• Avoid words such as  "very", "nice", "stuff", "things"
  
• Use the word lists in Teams!
