Future Tense

Which sentences are written in the future tense?

1. I will help you tomorrow.
2. I'm playing football Saturday.
3. I am going to play football.
4. He helps you every day

Objects with a future - Game

1. Work with your neighbour

2. You will receive 3 words. Write down what can happen to this object in the future using the future tense!

Form Future Tense

1. Will + verb: I will help you do the dishes in a minute.

2. To be + going to + verb: He is going to marry her.

1. Will 

Form: will + verb

Ex. I will/shall, you'll they will not (=won't) go

For I and we -> you can also use shall

But in a question you have to use shall: Shall we start? 

When: for spontaneous, non=planned actions (such as an offer, a promise or a prediction) and general references to the future

Examples

1.  We shall help you with the dishes. (offer)
2. I will call Patrick tomorrow. (promise)
3. The concert will start in 5 minutes. (announcement)
4. Alicia will become a teacher. (general reference to the future)

Form: am/are/is + going to + verb 

When? 

1. to say what someone is planning to do (intentie)
2. for things that will certainly happen
   
   Example: Watch out! Those books are going to fall!

1. We are going to visit Newcastle next weekend. (plan)

2. Look at the sky. It is going to snow tonight. (evidence)

3.  (There's a man in front of me holding a knive)  I think he is going to kill me! (evidence)

4. How are we going to get to London this Sunday? (plan)
