When do we use the word Can?

1. To say that you like something
2. To say you don't like something
3. To say that you are not able to something
4. To talk about abilities

Can

When?   We use the word can to talk about abilities

                  You can speak English 

How?     When you are able of doing it: Can 

                I/You/He/ She/It/We/They can swim 

                 When you are not able of doing it: Can't (cannot)

                 He can't sing 

Tip! There is always a verb after the word can 

Write down that you are able to dance

Write down that He is not able to drive

Question phrase

Question: When you ask someone about their ability you start the sentence with can.

Can you drive?

Can they speak English?
