What is Present Simple?

Present Simple is used to talk about things in general. It is used for habits, routines, and general facts.

Forming Present Simple

In present simple, you add 's' or 'es' to the base form of the verb when the subject is he, she, or it.

Keywords in Present Simple

Words like 'always', 'often', 'usually', 'every day' are often used with present simple to show frequency.

Negative Sentences

In negative sentences, 'do not' or 'does not' is used before the base form of the verb.

Asking Questions

To form questions, 'do' or 'does' is used at the beginning of the sentence, followed by the subject and the base form of the verb.
