What is call my bluff?

We work in groups of 3 

The goal of the quiz is to make your peers choose the wrong answer. So be as convincing as possible!

How?

This lesson: Each group will receive an English word from your teacher.

1. Look up the correct definition of this word and write this down.

2. With the 3 of you, start brainstorming of 2 other convincing (but false) definitions of this word. 

Next lesson: present your word and the 3 (A,B or C) definitions in front of your class.

Tips for making up the meaning of words

• Look at the word. Is it a noun? or a verb? does it seem derived from another word? Use this!
• Does it sound like another word? 
• Be creative!
• You might want to explain the (made up) definitions by using a situation in which you can use the definition. 

Next Lesson

We will have a quiz in which everyone will present their word and their definitions.
The other groups will guess this one is correct (and can score points).

The group with the most points will be the winner of this spectacular, exclusive,  quiz!
