What is Literacy
Literacy refers to the ability to read, write, and comprehend information.
UNESCO estimate that there are 250 million children in our world that do not have basic literacy skills.
The International Day of Literacy is celebrated annually on September 8th to promote literacy as a human right and highlight the importance of literacy for individuals and communities.
It is a fundamental skill for communication, learning, and personal development.
