What you’ll learn: how to use the editorial and publication folders, and how to assign writing or reading rights to colleagues.
Time required: 3 minutes

Collaboration

Thanks to the editorial folder and the publication folder, you can collaborate with your colleagues.

The Editorial Folder

The editorial folder is the blue folder. In this folder, you can collaborate on lesson materials with colleagues who have access. Any material added here is automatically locked, meaning teachers won't be able to find or view these lesson materials.
Note ⚠️: The administrator needs to grant colleagues reading rights so they can view the material. Without reading rights, the material remains locked for them.

Tip 💡: Anyone with writing rights in the editorial folder can make changes to your lesson materials. Once you're satisfied with a lesson, you can copy it in the publication folder.

The Publication Folder

The publication folder is the red folder. Anything placed here goes live on your channel instantly. If you move or copy a lesson from the editorial folder, you'll receive a notification.

You can also add subfolders to the publication folder, which will appear under the Lessons tab on your channel. You can rganise them however you like, such as by topic or education level.
Tip 💡: Did you know you can also add an image and a description to a folder on your channel?
How to do it:
  • Go to your publication folder.
  • Right-click on one of the red folders you added.
  • Click on 'Edit settings'.
  • Choose an image for your folder.

The Lock Icon

As mentioned earlier, lessons in the editorial folder are automatically locked, while lessons in the publication folder are automatically unlocked. However, you can also unlock lessons in the editorial folder. This allows you to share them with teachers and make them visible in the lesson library, even though they aren’t yet on your channel.

How to unlock lessons:
  • Open the lesson you want to unlock in the editorial folder.
  • Next to your lesson title, click 'Options'.
  • Then click on 'Settings'.
  • Next to 'Lesson duration', you’ll see a lock icon. Click on it.
  • Once the lock is open, your lesson is visible to others. Add a brief description.
