Passive

• When a sentence is written in the active voice, the subject of the sentence is the performer (the ‘doer’) of an action:
• Cats chase mice.
• When a sentence is written in the passive voice, the receiver of the action becomes the subject:
• Mice are chased by cats.

Complete the sentence with a passive form of the verb in brackets.

• Reported speech = Indirect Speech
• Direct Speech: Something is said directly, sentence is between inverted commas "..."
• June said, "It is my car."

• Indirect Speech: Something is said indirectly & the sentence isn't between commas anymore. The tense also changes one step back in time
• June said that it was her car.

Turn the sentence to indirect speech:
