 You are monitoring a CCTV camera and notice a person lingering around a store. How would you assess the situation? (Focus on “Monitoring,” “Risk Analysis,” “Behavior Recognition.”)

Video observation
You are going to watch 2 videos. While watching you must write down the following: observe and note key details, such as:
  • Non-verbal behavior (e.g., facial expressions, posture).
  • Suspicious movements or deviant behavior.
  • Any aggression or risk analysis based on the environment.
  • Situational awareness and the evaluation of the environment.

Roleplay
  • In pairs
  • One student will play the role of a security officer on patrol, while the other plays a suspicious person.
  • The officer must use observation and situational awareness to assess the behavior of the suspect, taking notes on verbal and non-verbal behaviors.
  • After 5 minutes, switch roles.

Extra assignment
