What is gravity?
Gravity
- a force between two objects due to their mass and size.
The objects are pulled towards each other.
What are some examples you

Gravity is invisible.

Earth is very large, it has a large
gravitational force,
It interacts with other objects and pulls them towards earth.
This is essential for life on earth:
We don’t float away.
The air we breathe stays in our atmosphere.

Though the moon’s gravitational force is only ⅙ as large as earth's it still affects life on earth
The moon’s gravity pulls on the water in the ocean
This pull changes as the earth rotates and makes the tides

The sun’s gravitational force holds all the planets in the solar system in orbit
