What to expect: grammar test

 1. Gap-fill: use the past tense of the words in brackets.

 Last weekend we _______ (to go) to the rugby game in Paris.

 

2. Rewrite the sentences to make questions (?) or negative sentences (not).

  Use the past simple. See exercise 59d (p. 67)

Signal words	Yesterday, last week, last month, two days ago, four days ago, months ago, a second ago, etc.
Examples	He walked her home last night. She tried to close her book. We were at the cinema last night.
