3. Fix one or two sticks to the back of your mask as a handle

Character Round Tables

 In this discussion, you will engage in a conversation with your group from the perspective of the character from your novel. 

This means that you will take on his/her persona- think like that character, act like that character, respond as that character would. Your group members will also be role-playing, but will be entirely different characters. 

Character Round Table

This conversation is contingent on your preparation and ability to accurately portray your character in discussion. You will be responding to questions, posing additional questions to your group of characters, and connecting the discussion to texts from class. 

• You and a friend have had a falling out, and you notice that they have started indirecting you on social media. What do you do?
• You and your sibling have had a falling out, but you don't think you've done anything wrong. She texts you a long message telling you why you are in the wrong. What's your reply?

• You're having an argument with someone, but you are losing. What do you do?
• Your friend makes a racist comment about someone else. How do you react?

• You’ve just farted at a funeral, what do you do?
• Your boyfriend/girlfriend/crush has been annoying you all day. What text are you sending them?

• You’ve called your girlfriend/boyfriend by someone else’s name. What do you do?
• You're being bullied non stop since the school year started. How would you act?

• You get a reply 3 hours after you sent a text, how long do you leave to text back?
• You get chatting to someone at a party, and you find out they dislike the same person as you. What do you do?
• Your friend owes you money, but you see them shopping and spending money. What do you do?

• You're working on a group project and someone is not pulling their weight. What do you do?
• You’ve just called your teacher other Mum by accident, what do you do?

You’ve been bitching about your friend "Charlie" to another friend on a private message but are at the same time in a group chat with said friend that you secretly don’t like. You just sent an incredibly bitchy message about "Charlie" to the group chat by accident. How do you deal with this?

You’re doing a biology presentation to a class of 30 people. Earlier on in the presentation you have said the word “orgasm” instead of “organism” and everyone laughed at you. You’ve just had another awkward moment and instead of saying “tentacles” you said “testicles”. The class erupt into laughter and they won’t stop laughing for a good 10 minutes. What do you do?

So, what is it?

Definition: An argumentative essay is a text type that takes a stand on an issue and uses logic
and evidence to convince (purpose) readers (audience). 

Argumentative essay assignments require research based on external sources.
