Bellwork: can you catch my lie?

I went on holiday with my three children, my friend, and her daughter. We traveled to Spain, near Barcelona, where the weather was beautiful, and I even swam in the sea! We stayed in a 3-star hotel, which I regretted almost immediately. The rooms were very noisy, and the beds were uncomfortable—I barely got any sleep!

     One of our favorite activities was spending time at the beach, and we also visited a lovely square where we could enjoy ice cream while the kids played on the swings and slides. 

If you know me, you’d know I’m rather clumsy. On the first day, I slipped in the bathtub because it was incredibly slippery, bringing down the entire shower curtain rod with me! I also managed to explode an egg in the   microwave at breakfast, and let’s just say the hotel staff didn’t appreciate it.

    We also went on a day trip to Barcelona by train, but unfortunately, my friend and I ended up having a big argument. She left me alone in a crowded area, and I felt a bit anxious about it. Still, despite everything, I had a nice time overall. But next time, I’m definitely taking my husband along!
