About the Kinkerbuurt
The neighborhood was built very quickly because Amsterdam grew rapidly at the end of the 19th century.
The houses consist of large apartment blocks and are tall (5 stories). There are hardly any gardens, squares, or parks.

the housing density
is high (= number of homes per square kilometer).
