Why does Charlotte agree to marry Mr. Collins? 

She cannot inherit!

Yes: she is dependent on a man for a comfortable situation. Charlotte cannot find a husband and is realistic about her situation (she is older than most girls) so she decides to agree to marry Mr. Collins.

She is Darcy's aunt and a snobbish/meddlesome woman.
