Tinting Technique

Step-by-step guide to tinting brows

1. After choosing the desired tint colour, 

apply the tint above the main brow line and below (the aim of this is

 to pick up any fine, light hairs with the tint so you have more to work with)

2. Remove the tint with DRY cotton pads. This is so the tint can continue to work throught your treatment to create a defined brow. 

3. The brow tint is neutralised at the end of the treatment, once the client is happy with the result.

Waxing Technique

Using an angles orangwood stick 

Demonstrate the proper technique for waxing brows. Explain the importance of caution and precision during the process.

Threading Technique

• Step-by-step guide to threading brows
• Measure out a piece of thread as long as your arm, tie a small knot in the two loose ends
• Next, twist the thread loop 5 times towards yourself (with both hands)

Provide a detailed explanation of the threading technique for shaping and defining brows. Emphasize the importance of practice and patience.

Threading Technique

• Your aim is to open and close your hands to create a scissoring technique, whilst keeping the thread taught between your hands.
• Isolate the hair you wish to remove and open and close your dominant hand to enable the twist to move along. This will pull the hairs out!  
• Make sure the client is supporting their skin and pulling it taught

Tweezing Technique

Step-by-step guide to tweezing brows

Remove any unwanted hairs outside of your desire shape. 

Demonstrate the correct way to use tweezers for precise hair removal. Highlight the significance of symmetry and natural arches.

Trimming Technique

If the brows are long and need to be cut to sit more evenly, brush the brow hair upwards with a  brow bust and cut straight along. (This will avoid picket fence brows!) 

Demonstrate the correct way to use tweezers for precise hair removal. Highlight the significance of symmetry and natural arches.

Using brow pencil and concealer to achieve defined brows

You are aiming to draw thin hair strokes to give a natural finish.

Explain how to use a brow pencil to fill in sparse areas and create shape. Show how concealer can be used for a clean and defined look.
