Meet the Chickens

Chickens start as eggs, then they hatch into chicks, and eventually grow into adult chickens.

Egg Stage

Chickens begin their life inside an egg. The mother hen keeps the eggs warm until they are ready to hatch.

Chick Stage

Once the egg hatches, a fluffy chick emerges. Chicks are very small and need to be kept warm.

Growing Up

As the chicks grow, they become bigger and their feathers start to change. They become more independent.

Adult Chicken

The fully grown chicken is now ready to lay eggs and start the cycle again. They can also be kept for their eggs or meat.
