Present Continuous: When to use?

We use the Present Continuous when something is happening now.

Examples:

I am listening to music right now.

He is walking to the shops at the moment.

Present Continuous: How to use?

Verb 'to be' (am/is/are) + ww-ing:

I am listening right now.

you/we/they are listening right now.

he/she/it is listening right now.

Present Continuous: How to use?

Negative (-): 'to be' + not + ww-ing

I am not listening right now.

Questions (?): 'to be' + onderwerp + ww-ing 

Is he listening right now?

Exceptions!

Some verbs don't just get '-ing':

live --> living (remove the first -e)

lie --> lying (replace -ie with -y)

get --> getting (double the -t)

travel --> travelling (double the -l)
