microscope steps
  1. put slide under microscope
  2. turn the smallest objective (4x)
  3. put on the light
  4. use large knob to focus
  5. turn larger objective (10x)

  8. use small knob to focus!!

Slide 3 - Tekstslide

the object we put under a microscope
- has to be small
- has to be very thin
- has to be put on a slide

Slide 4 - Tekstslide

slide preparation
- slide = a small piece of glass
- put the specimen on the glass
- add a drop of water ór colour
- put a coverslip on top

Slide 5 - Tekstslide

Scientific drawing pg. 63
Goal: to show the structure of what you see
Important:

  • No sketching/coloring/shading: only outlines!
  • Only draw what you see
  • Everything with pencil, no pens

Slide 6 - Tekstslide

Biological drawings
What differences do you see?

Slide 9 - Sleepvraag

Example of a scientific drawing

Slide 10 - Tekstslide

Practical activity
  • First, read the drawing rules on p. 64
  • Make a true-to-life drawing of the external view of a m       mushroom
  • Follow the drawing rules!
