Synonyms 

A synonym of a word is a word that means the same as the original word. 

For example:

Big - huge - large

Small - little - tiny 

All these words mean something similar, but you can use the different words. 

Synonyms

They can help you make your writing more interesting. For example:

My girlfriend looked really beautiful today. She was wearing a beautiful dress that looked beautiful on her. Her hair was also done beautifully.
