Wat is nu het verschil in betekenis tussen de present simple en de present continuous?

• present simple voor feiten en dingen die met regelmaat gebeuren
• present continuous voor iets dat NU aan de hand is, vertalen met 'aan het'...

Present simple (tegenwoordige tijd)

We gebruiken de present simple als we het hebben over: feiten, gewoonten en regelmatige gebeurtenissen. signaalwoorden: always, often, never etc.

onregelmatige werkwoord: to do	do	I do my best. He do es his best.

Present Continuous

Wij gebruiken de present continuous bij gebeurtenissen die: nu bezig of nu aan de gang zijn.

vorm: to be (am, are, is) + hele werkwoord + ing

positief zin	Vragend?	Negatief zin
I am swimming .	Am I swimming ?	I am not swimming.
You are swimming .	Are you swimming?	You are not swimming.

Feit, gewoonten, regelmatige gebeurtenissen.	Gebeurtenissen die nu bezig zijn of nu aan de gang zijn.
Signaalwoorden: always, sometimes, often, never, usually, on Mondays, every... .	Signaalwoorden: this instant, right now, at the moment, look!, listen!
