Hoe zet je woorden in het Engels nou in het meervoud?

Dit is niet heel moeilijk, je zet gewoon een S achter het woord. 

Bijvoorbeeld: 
One boy --> Two boys

One apple --> Two apples 

One house --> Two houses 

Wat moet je doen om een woord in het meervoud te zetten in het Engels

1. Er een 's achter zetten
2. Er een -s achter zetten
3. Niks, alle woorden zijn meervoud
4. A, B en C zijn goed.

Wat is het meervoud van girl?

1. Girl's
2. Girl
3. Girls
4. A,B,C zijn goed

De uitzonderingen

Natuurlijk zijn er uitzonderingen.

De uitzonderingen zijn: 
1. Staat er voor een Y een medeklinker (b-r-s-n-p)

1. Eindigt het woord op medeklinker + Y --> dan gaat de Y weg en komt er IES achter.

One story --> three stories

My favourite animal is a dog. I love dogs because they are friendly and cute. A dog can be a great friend. Dogs are wonderful pets. When a dog does something bad, it is hard to get angry. My dog has really soft fur and he knows a lot of tricks. 
I like to walk with my dog outside, especially when the sun shines.

Wat is jouw favoriete dier? 

Maak een filmpje of geluidsopname  met je telefoon waarin je vertelt over je favoriete dier. Je kunt hiervoor de tekst die je net gelezen hebt gebruiken. Je kunt ook kijken naar de stones van theme 4! 
Vertel daarin: 

1. Wat je favoriete dier is 

2. Waarom je dit dier leuk vindt. 

Je filmpje of geluidsopname duurt minimaal 1 minuut! 

Misschien kun je ook je huisdier laten zien in het filmpje? :)

Task C: My favourite animal 

My favourite animal is the lion. It has got a long tail, a big body, four big paws and very large teeth. A lion does not have very big ears. Lions eat other animals, like antelopes or zebras. They are also called the king of the jungle. 

They are very dangerous, you must be careful when you meet a lion. 
I like lions because they are very beautiful and they look magnificent. Because I like lions I am a really big fan of The Lion King, it is my favourite movie.

2. Why it is your favourite animal. 

3. Describe what the animal looks like.

Task D: My favourite animal

My favourite bird is the parrot. The parrot is a very beautiful bird. It has got very colourful feathers and sharp claws. 

It is a very lovely looking bird. A parrot is crazy about grains,  seeds, pears, nuts and rice. 
The parrot is a talking bird, it can imitate the human voice. A parrot normally lives in warm countries. Some people keep it in a small cage, which is sad.
