De present continuous wordt gebruikt:

om een handeling of evenement in de toekomst te beschrijven, dat reeds gepland of voorbereid is:  'We're going on holiday tomorrow'.

In combinatie met are, is and am. 'Where ARE you GOING on holiday?' . 'Where IS Rick GOING', 'Where AM I GOING'.
